The SpaceAntiques website is offered by aliens for you! Bid on the future today with our new innovative auction site that allows you to buy NEW brand name products for a fraction of their retail price.
You can participate in any auction. Each bid raises the price by 1 cent and the count-down timer by 15 seconds, (1..) - to give you another chance. If your bid is the last one when the count-down timer reaches zero - you win and pay the final price !
Bids can be bought at a range of prices. Please refer to our section "Buy Bids".
Who can participate in the auction?
Any Internet adult user! Just register - it's absolutely free.
The registration process takes only a few minutes. After completing the form, we send you an email asking you to confirm your identity. Once confirmed you'll have access to all sections of the website.
What products are available at auction?
Our listings are not limited to one category or brand. Every day we will put for auction a variety of brand new top-name products.
You can find entertainment (play stations, games, mp3 players), household items, as well as electronic equipment like TVs, laptops, computers. All this for a fraction of their retail price !
What is the status of the products displayed and what is the warranty ?
All listed products are brand new, in original packaging with original manufacturer warranty.
(1..) The item price increasing, and time extensions can be different - these values are displayed for each listing on the auction details page.

Types of auction
Find out what type of auction is best for you. Note that the auctions are quite different from each other. Some are more popular than others. However, lack of popularity is not always bad thing. It may be beneficial for you because less users will participate in the auction.
Most auctions begin (or restart after being paused) at 8:00 a.m. and stop at 2 a.m. with the
exception of the night auctions. They never stop! You can be there all day and all night, 24
hours a day. If you are a night owl, this is perfect for you! /p>
Place your bid late
Watch the countdown and try to jump in and bid in the last few seconds. If the timer has reached the last few seconds, you know that it will end unless another bid is placed. (Be careful not to leave it to the last seconds or you might miss out!). If you are aiming to bid and win in the last seconds, be sure your computer is fast enough. (close other running programs, clean temporary files). Check if you have a fast internet connection. If you are using wireless connection - check the signal and check if there are not too many users on the same wireless router.
Start with the cheapest products
Although you can get some incredible bargains on our most expensive items, they also tend to be the most competitive auctions, attracting hundreds of bidders. Our cheaper products tend to have fewer bidders, meaning you're much more likely to win.
Use the SpaceBidder to your advantage
SpaceAntiques has many interesting ideas which will help you to win. The first is the SpaceBidder.
We know that after reading its description you'll discover its countless
possibilities. We called it simply: "the ideal investment".
The SpaceBidder is a powerful tool. If you set the timing right you can scare off other bidders from placing another bid. Nobody likes to see their bids matched over and over again by your all-conquering SpaceBidder. This way you might just persuade them to give up and try again next time.
Turn their SpaceBidder against them.
On the other hand, some people have a "fire and forget" policy with the SpaceBidder. It is easy to swoop in and win with a quick single bid, if your rival has gone to make a cup of coffee - safe in the knowledge that his SpaceBidder will protect him.
We've noticed that users tend to set the "BID TO" value of their SpaceBidder to a round number (e.g.: $12.00, not $12.08). Watch for this and you might be able to snap up a bargain by simply clicking on the "BID" button when a SpaceBidder has just finished.
Keep an eye on what other bidders are up to.
You can see the details of the last five bids placed: try to monitor who's bidding and when they're bidding. It's all about timing, so maybe you can work out when the right time is to jump in and grab the lot.
Scout out the competition
Look and see how many different bidders have recently bid on an auction. You're more likely to win if there are fewer bidders interested in the item than if there are lots of competing bidders.
Bid at the right time of day.
The number of bidders varies throughout the day. "Smart" bidders can use this to pick up bargains by bidding when others are busy having breakfast, lunch or taking the dog for a walk.
Fine-tune your SpaceBidder
If you use the SpaceBidder to bid on your behalf, it's best not to set your "BID TO" value to a round number, because other bidders will be watching out for this (see above!).

Register help
In order to bid online you'll first need to register with SpaceAntiques.
The registration form is simple and requires you to fill in your basic data. The form is interactive. If there is a mistake or the required field is blank, you will be immediately notified. Please review all notifications before clicking on the "Register" button.
You have to choose your username, which identifies you on the site. This is the only information available to the public. Other information is available only to us and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The safety of your personal data is important to us. Please refer to our data privacy statement.
- Please register only one SpaceAntiques account per person.
- Persons under 18 years are not allowed to bid on SpaceAntiques.
- Your address will be used as the billing address for auction purchases
and delivery.
Please enter a valid address to register successfully.
- Presently our service is offered to Canada and the USA, only.
- Please choose a password you can remember. Note that your password can't be the same as your username.
Once you have completed the form and clicked on the button "Register", the system sends an e-mail to you with instructions on how to activate your account.
Only after completion of the activation process, it will be possible to take full advantage of the SpaceAntiques' auction services.
Auctions
Auctions are the only way to purchase products on SpaceAntiques.
The user who placed the last bid in the auction is the winner, and is entitled to purchase the product won for an auction-end amount.
Within 1 calendar month each user may win 9 auctions. This limit does not apply to the charity auctions. The limit was established to ensure the principles of "fair play" and to make the product available for the largest number of users.
Information on your won auctions and available limit you can find at My Account page.
NOTE: Remember that you have limited time to claim the product from the won auction.
It is 21 days. If you win the auction you will receive an
e-mail, with confirmation and the auction will appear in the list of your Won
Auctions at My Account page.
You can make a final payment either by clicking the
link in your e-mail or directly from the My Account » My Won Auctions page.
As soon as the final payment is completed, your product is shipped to you. The final price includes the auction price, delivery and applicable taxes. Delivery cost for each product is shown on the auction detail page.
Delivery times vary for the different product. The majority of items arrive within 10 - 21 days, after your final payment was confirmed. We’ll let you know as soon as your won product has been dispatched.
Types of auction
There are 9 basic types of auction. They differ in their parameters and ways of work.
Types of auction are listed on the left side of this page, below "Auctions" link.
On the auction details page you can see what parameters have been set for the current auction.
Standard-Penny type auction
Bidding starts from the amount of $0.00. At the start of the auction the timer is launched (usually 24 hours), counting down the time - to zero.
From that point on, you can begin to place your bids. Every placed bid raises the price by 1 cent, and adds to the auction timer a pre-determined amount of seconds, usually 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds.
On the auction details you can see what value has been set for pre-determined amount of seconds.
The last bidder to place a bid when the timer reaches zero-wins the auction. If you win, you have the right to buy the product for the final auctioned price plus delivery charges. You will receive an e-mail, with confirmation and the item will appear in the list of your Won Auctions at My Account page.

Free Bids type auction
The Free Bids auction is another version of the Standard auction.
All the bids spent by users in this auction type are returned to them after the auction is finished. Your bids cost is free.

Revenge type auction
The Revenge auction is another version of the Standard auction.
If you win the auction – like the rest of our auction types, you will be rewarded by winning the great product! But what happens if you were trying to win and still couldn't beat the leader? Well..if you finish in 2nd place we will give you back all the bids that you spent in the auction, AND....please pay attention! You will get in your account ALL the bids that the winner spent!
The “REVENGE” still works if you finish in 3rd. In this case you will get back half of the bids that you placed and half of the winners bids!
Let’s summarize:
- 1st place wins product
- 2nd gets back 100% of bids + 100% of the winners bids spent
- 3rd gets back 50% of bids + 50% of the winners bids spent
Final positions are determined by the last unique position when auction ends and NOT the amount of bids spent.

Charity type auction
The Charity auction is another version of a Standard auction but the entire profit from this type of auction is given to charities

The Charity Auction is not counted towards your won auctions limit (9 auctions per month)

At the end of the auction your cash will accumulate in your account and can be used to redeem prizes everyday!

The "Newbie" auction is another version of the Standard auction for new or 'unsuccessful' users.
Only users who have won less than 3 auctions or 3 limit values, will be able to participate in this type of auction.

Bids-Back type auction
The Bids-Back auction is another version of the Standard auction.
This is a great opportunity for you !
If you are the winner - you simply are rewarded by winning the great product.
If you finish second - you receive back 50% of all the bids you spent playing in this auction.
If you finish in third place - all the bids you've spent playing in this auction, are returned and come back to you.
Do not hesitate, go ahead and bid !

Stop-SpaceBidder type auction
The Stop-SpaceBids auction is another version of the Standard auction.
Nobody in this auction can set up a SpaceBidder. Manual bidding only.
If you don't want your bids to be matched by the all conquering SpaceBidders - this is the right type for you.
Other auction parameters, like price and time rising values with each placed bid, are shown in the auction details.

Beginners
Ended Auctions
At any time, whether or not you are a registered user, you can check the history of our auctions saved in the "Ended Auctions" folder.
You can find Ended Auctions in Category listing. "Last finished auction" on Homepage shows the most recent ended auction. In "My account" page you'll find auctions won by you - these are ended auctions, too.

Buy Bids
You can access Buy Bids section, when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
See below for the different packages you can purchase. Just select and click the Buy button and follow the instructions. Because of free bids included in each package the real bid price differs (see Each bid: $cost).
You can check your purchase status on the My Purchase History page.
Caution
When SpaceBidders overlap, your SpaceBidder can place a large number of bids in a split second. Unless you understand this very well, you should limit the number of bids you place in a SpaceBidder. For more details see "Overlapping Spacebidders" below.
SpaceBidder Overview
You do not have time to personally monitor the auction ? SpaceBidder
lets you bid, even if you're not sitting at your computer. If you need to grab
a coffee, the SpaceBidder can bid for you, so you don't miss out.
Getting a SpaceBidder to place your bid guarantees that your bids will be placed automatically when you want. You don't have to worry about losing your internet connection, or getting distracted in the final moments by your pet. You can rely on your SpaceBidder.
To set up your SpaceBidder, click on an auction you would like to win. On the right side, you will see the "Activate a Spacebidder" box. This is where you tell the SpaceBidder how you would like it to bid.
To set the amount range you have to specify the BID FROM $ amount at which you want SpaceBidder to start bidding and the BID TO $ amount at which the SpaceBidder will stop bidding. You also need to specify the maximum number of bids that you want your SpaceBidder to use.
The SpaceBidder will place the bids for your specified price range automatically when there are between 3 and 10 seconds left on the auction.
If your BID FROM $ amount is not reached before the auction ends, your SpaceBidder will not be activated. Your SpaceBidder reserved bids will be returned to your bid balance.
You can cancel your SpaceBidder at any time.
Example
For example, if you set up your SpaceBidder to bid on an iPod shuffle auction from $10 to $15, placing a maximum of 25 bids. We will reserve 25 bids from your bid balance for the SpaceBidder, to make sure it has the bids when it needs to bid. Your SpaceBidder will then silently sit and wait for the price of the shuffle to get into its target range.
Nobody can see your SpaceBidder - he is your silent weapon. When someone else bids up the price to $10, your SpaceBidder goes on alert. However, he is wise and does not place the bid right away. In order to maximize your chance of winning, he waits until the auction timer almost runs out before placing your bid. Once the time left on the auction gets down to 10 seconds, the SpaceBidder will decide when to place the bid. He will always bid before the 3 second mark, but to keep your opponents on their toes, he will do it at a random time. Of course, if your opponent is watching, he may decide to bid the price up higher. Your SpaceBidder will continue to outbid him until one of the following occurs: SpaceBidder wins the auction for you, it runs out of bids, or the price reaches its maximum price.
There is an exception to the rule if two users set up a SpaceBidder for the same price range. When the price ranges overlap and the price of the auction reaches the place where they overlap, the SpaceBidders will fight immediately. Please see details in our section "Overlapping SpaceBidders".
Note: We strongly recommend activating your SpaceBidder before the 10 second mark on any given auction. If you add one under 10 seconds, you run the risk that the SpaceBidder will not activate in our database and you will probably lose the auction.
Setting Up
The SpaceBidder is a breeze to setup!
To set up a Spacebidder:
- Login into your account
- Find the auction that you are interested in and click on it to view the details
- On the right side of the screen, you will see the SpaceBidder "Activate" box. Set the BID FROM $ amount at which you want to trigger your SpaceBidder. When the auction reaches this price, your SpaceBidder will start bidding on your behalf. Specify the BID TO $ amount at which you want your SpaceBidder to stop bidding. Once the auction goes beyond this amount, your SpaceBidder will no longer bid for you
- In the BIDS box, you can set the maximum number of bids you want your SpaceBidder to use
In the end click "Activate". Done ! - You can't set up more than one SpaceBidder in one Auction at the same time. After SpaceBidder is done, cancelled or ended, you can set up another one for this auction.
- You can set up SpaceBidder for as many auctions as you wish. If you want to set up a SpaceBidder on a different auction, you have to simply click on another auction that you are interested in and follow steps 3-5 above.
- You can cancel your SpaceBidder at any time
- The SpaceBidder must be created before there are 10 seconds left on a given auction. The system picks a time between 3 and 10 seconds to run the SpaceBidders. If you add one with fewer than 10 seconds left, it may not fire, due to the processing time needed to communicate with our database.
SpaceBidder will not play against itself or against you, if you place a bid manually.
SpaceBidder can be set up for each auction, regardless of its type or price. The only restriction is the "Stop-SpaceBidder" auction. This auction can be played manually only.
SpaceBidder is a very powerful tool that that can be used in many different ways to strategize against the competition. It can surely help you win many auctions
IMPORTANT: At the moment of setting up the SpaceBidder, your bid account is immediately charged. If the auction is finished before your SpaceBidder uses all its bids or the SpaceBidder is cancelled, the remaining bids are returned to you.
Overlapping SpaceBidders
There are occasions when SpaceBidders from different users overlap in their price ranges. If this happens, they will start bidding immediately. Any bids in the overlapping range will be placed by the SpaceBidders in the same moment. The price and the remaining time will jump accordingly, based on the number of bids placed.
Overlapping SpaceBidders Example
Let's say you have a SpaceBidder set up to place bids for you on an auction from $5 to $10. Someone else has a SpaceBidder set up from $4 to $7.
When the price of the auction reaches $4, their SpaceBidder will be on alert, waiting to the last moment before placing a bid. Your SpaceBidder will be waiting for the price to reach $5.
When the price reaches $5, both SpaceBidders will place bids because their price ranges overlap. This will happen right away. Whoever had their SpaceBidder configured first will have the first bid. The other SpaceBidder will counter. This will continue until one of the SpaceBidders runs out of bids or exceeds its price limit.
If you have a SpaceBidder with 100 bids and you overlap another user's SpaceBidder that also has 100 bids, all of your SpaceBidder bids will be used. The other person's SpaceBidder will also use up all of their bids.
The SpaceBidder repeats its cycle until it wins an auction for you, runs out of bids, reaches "BID TO" price or reaches the auction set up maximum time.
How can I use the SpaceBidder in my strategy to win?
SpaceBidder can be a powerful tool in your battle to bid and win, but, they need to be used wisely. Your aim should be to have the SpaceBidder set at a given price point. Then you can leave the game up to your SpaceBidder, to play and perhaps scare away your opponents.
Finally, remember to always look at the bid history, checking the number of bidders on the auction and the types of bids placed. If there are only single bids, try placing a SpaceBidder. It might just scare the other bidders away and win you that bargain.

You can access My Account only, when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
The menu below shows what features are within My Account page :
My Profile
You can access My Profile only, when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
Edit My Profile
You can edit your data. It is important that your delivery address is correct - so we'll be able to ship your won product to the right place.
You can't change your username or e-mail. These are unique data identifying yourself. In case you changed your e-mail address, please contact us at support@spaceantiques.ca.
Change My Password
Here you can change your password for a new one.
My Bids Account
You can access this feature only, when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
The table shows your purchased and won bids (including free bids coming with each bid package). Sometimes you might receive promotional free bids which are valid for 30 days. When you bid in auctions these free bids are taken from your account first.
My Favorites
You can access this feature only when you are a registered user and you are logged in with your username and password.
"My Favorites" button is in the menu bar of every page. Choosing my favorites helps you to target the auctions and play on the products you really like to win.
You can set up your favorite auction in the Auction Detail page.
You can manage your favorite auctions by clicking My Favorites.
My Won Auctions
You can access this feature only, when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
On the page you can see all the auctions you have won in the past. If the won auction is very recent and you haven't claimed the product yet - you can click the Buy button - and proceed to make a final payment. After the purchase is completed there will be no Buy button anymore. You can check your purchase status on My Purchase History page.
My SpaceBidder Setting
You can access this feature only when you are a registered user and you login with your username and password.
In the table you can see all your activated SpaceBidders and their settings.
Status "Active" means that your SpaceBidder is currently running - it is active.
Status "Waiting" means that the current auction price is below the "BID FROM" price you've set in this SpaceBidder - it is waiting.
My Auction Limits
On the beginning you've got 9 auction slots available.
Each auction has a different limit value. Limit value indicates how many slots will be blocked for the winner of the auction.
Each time you win one auction, number of slot equal to limit value are blocked for 1 month period.
Below, you can see an example with free slots available, and blocked slots with the release date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I registered but I can't login?
A: You have to confirm your registration by clicking on the link in the confirmation e-mail we sent you. Sometimes, depending on your e-mail settings - the confirmation e-mail might go to your junk or spam folder. Find it there. If your e-mail program doesn't allow you to click on the link - then, just copy the complete link and paste it to the address line of your internet browser. If you still can't login write to us at support@spaceantiques.ca. Please don't try to repeat your registration process again - this would create a double account for a single person, which is not allowed by our Terms and Conditions.
Q: How much does one bid cost?
A: Bids prices vary and can be purchased for as low as $0.65/ bid. You can find our bid prices by clicking Buy Bids on our menu bar.
Q: What is the recommended software to participate in SpaceAntiques' auctions?
A: You can participate in our auctions with nearly all PCs and software that allow you to access the internet. But we strongly recommend using Mozilla Firefox (version 2.0 or higher) on Windows, Mac or Linux with broadband internet connection 512k or higher. Safari on Mac is not recommended. We are compatible with all anti-virus software except Avast.
Q: Why wasn't my manual bid taken? My browser says I placed the last bid but then somebody else won the auction?
A:IMPORTANT: This is due to the fact that, after you clicked Bid, the signal from your computer has to go to our server and come back to you. Depending on your internet connection speed, your own computer speed, internet traffic, etc; it might take 1 to 3 seconds. Some users click Bid in the last seconds, thinking that this is a good way to win. But this is not true. Your last second bid might not be registered by our system, because it might arrive too late - somebody else might have already won the auction. Bids transmitted to SpaceAntiques' server after the auction has ended as per the auction countdown timer will be considered late Bids regardless of the time at which said Bids were initiated or sent on User's web browser.' Note, when the type of auction allows it - try to use the SpaceBidder - it will never fail because it is directly setup in our server.
Q: Why do I see users bidding against themselves?
A: We allow users to be in control of their bidding. Many strategies exist that involve users outbidding themselves. One example would be gaining time to buy bids.
Q: What should I do when I win an auction?
A: You will receive a winner confirmation e-mail. Click on the link in the e-mail in order to claim your product. You can also go to My Account » My Won Auctions to see your won auctions. To claim your product you must pay the final auction price plus applicable taxes. Once we receive this payment your product will be shipped to you. Delivery times vary depending on your location, (usually 10-15 business days). Important Note: you have 21 days to claim your product or else we will cancel the win.
Q: Can I exchange my won product for another product or bids?
A: We allow won products to be exchanged for an amazon gift card only. We do not exchange won products for bids.
Q: What are My Auction Limits?
A: Currently any user is limited to 9 auction wins within a 30 day time period. We might change this rule in the near future. Any changes can be found in our help section.
Q: I am new to SpaceAntiques and I can't win an auction - other users are always winning?
A: We have auctions named - 'Newbie' - for new or 'unsuccessful' users. This auction type is for users who have won less than 3 auctions. These auctions are indicated by a smiley face icon.
Q: Why I am not on the top of list after SpaceBidders battle?
A: The user who setup SpaceBidder first in time, plays first, the others follow. And SpaceBidder battle stops (breaks) when:
- any user's SpaceBidder is out of bids
- any user's SpaceBidder reaches the limit BID TO
This way we allow the users to change their setting.
IMPORTANT: The amount of bids remaining in user's SpaceBidder has no effect on who will be on top of the battle when SpaceBidder breaks.
Q: Can my wife and I (or somebody else at the same address) have two separate accounts with SpaceAntiques?
A: We allow only one account per person. If somebody else, living at the same address, also wants to have an account, it is ok, but she (he) must make all the payments from her (his) Credit Card or PayPal. We are monitoring accounts - if we find double accounts or players using or paying for users accounts that do not belong to them, we will suspend all accounts from participating in our auctions. 'User may not use any other User's account at any time. Non-Users are not permitted to use the registered account of a User. User accounts are not transferable.' Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more details.
Q: How can I change my profile data?
You can go to My Account » Edit My Profile and change your data there.
To change your password go to My Accunt » Change My Password.
Some data you won't be able to change yourself. If, for example, you want to cancel your account or you will
require to change your e-mail address, write to admin@spaceantiques.ca;
please provide your registered username, name, e-mail address and for security purposes your date of birth.
